Chances are you have noticed quite some changes when you launched AppTrailers recently. This is due to a major updated that has been released in July 2013. What exactly has changed and what does it mean for us earners?
The first thing you might notice about the updated application, is that it looks completely different from what it used to be. Everything looks much detailed and works in a smoother manner. The buttons, the tabs and even the commercial menu's have been revamped to look nicer and perform better on your phone.
New earning options
When opening AppTrailers you will probably notice a pop-up saying that you can earn by leaving comments or tips on apps you recently tested. Doing so will earn you a considerable amount of points. As of august 2013 there is a promotional stunt for this method of earning: leaving 3 tips will give you 500 points, earning you a nifty 0.50$.
When looking a bit further into the recent update, you'll also find that there is now a page where you can watch movie trailers for points. Given that the movie trailers take a bit longer than most app trailers, it's a welcome change of scenery and an additional method of earning when you've exhausted most available trailers in the application section.
Another thing you might notice is the big "upload" page. Here you can share videos uploaded by other users to receive a small amount of points. This is a welcome additional earning feature next to the watching of trailers, as most of us use social media in our daily lives regardless.
If you have a YouTube account and you'd like to get some more video views, this might be a method through which you can do so.

Free App
Next to all the previous changes, AppTrailers is now also offering an application that normally costs money, free of charge. Unfortunately, this will not earn you any points at all and if you do not desire the app being offered, you'll get nothing out of this offer.
Issues
AppTrailers still has not resolved all the issues that it had before the update. Users outside the United Stated of America still experience a lack of available advertisements, which results in not being able to earn any points outside of the free scratchers.
Some phone models are still reporting problems with downloading and testing applications and not receiving points for them, while some phones aren't even able to properly load the videos.
Conclusion
The summer update is a welcome change to the AppTrailers scene, it brings quite a few improvements to what the app used to be, but it still has some issues to be solved. If you're already earning through AppTrailers on a frequent basis, you might notice a small increase of income. If you're not earning due to your location, you'll have to hang in there for a bit longer.
